Coach Training Accelerator
Skills Development
Accomplishment Coaching provides powerful, impactful & useful coach training. In the CTA – Level 1 program you will get:
- 88 hours of coach training.
- The ability to immediately apply for an ACC (Associated Certified Coach) credential with the ICF*, and
- Immediate support and feedback on your coaching.
It all starts by training you to use ontological tools and distinctions to understand better how people relate to themselves. With these tools, you will have what you need to coach individuals, groups, and organizations to help them make deep, sustainable shifts in how they approach their lives. These skills speak directly to the International Coaching Federation (ICF) core competencies and have been tested, developed, and taught for decades. The only question that remains: what will YOU do with them?
Coaching Philosophy & Approach
The Coach Training Accelerator was created with the coach in mind. It is derived from, and is an excellent representation of, our year-long Coaches’ Training Program.
Accomplishment Coaching believes that good coaches grow others and great coaches grow themselves and others. The core of our coaching philosophy, and the basis of all of our tools and distinctions, is the ability to distinguish between a default way of being and a way of being that is reflective of our highest and best self. CTA participants will learn both the ontological approach and the facilitative coaching approach (goal setting, accountability, and action) to create results beyond current limits.
PROGRAM DETAILS
Coach Training Accelerator
The Accomplishment Coaching Coach Training Accelerator works from the following foundational cornerstones. We fundamentally believe:
- “Coaches lead, and Leader’s coach” ™. Leadership is a fundamental part of being a coach. Coaching is a fundamental part of effective leadership. Our coaches know that in coaching another person, they provide leadership and partnership, and are clear about the responsibility and humble service that must always be included in this collaborative relationship.
- The Being is as important as the Doing. That is, action without clarity of purpose, intention, and awareness of one’s being is insufficient for lasting change. Any meaningful and lasting change incorporates mindfulness (awareness) of one’s being and the being of others, along with actions required to produce the desired results.
- Coaches work toward the future. Awareness of past habits or patterns is fundamental to being effective in producing breakthrough results. We train our coaches to partner with their clients to create awareness of the past and present circumstances and beliefs, so as to choose between past/present constructs or created/future constructs, and be aware of the consequences of either choice.
- Coaches must be responsible, caring professionals who are clear about their boundaries, and the boundaries of the profession. Our coaches are trained in professional ethics and rules of conduct including the ICF’s Ethical Guidelines.
- It is the coach’s job to reveal the client/employee’s brilliance. Our coaches are trained to coach free from ego and personal agendas. By remaining outside the client’s context or belief systems, the coach can ask powerful questions that support the client to reveal any limits the present context has for the client on what is possible.
Our goals are to create the following with each participant:
- To be competent to coach individuals in a variety of topics.
- To be proficient in all the ICF Core Competencies and to follow ICF Ethical Guidelines.
- To be a coaching professional—clear about the ethical and professional boundaries of the coaching profession; aware of the signs and indicators that a client is in need of a referral to another professional (e.g., human resources, therapist, medical doctor, etc.); able to make referrals when needed.
- To use the tools and distinctions from the training to coach people during the course of the program. With this experience, the goal is to graduate the Level 1 program.
The following prerequisites are required of students entering the Coach Training Accelerator Program:
- The desire to become a coach.
- The willingness to fulfill the requirements of the program.
- A review of the application by a leader of the program.
- An interview by a leader of the program.
- Must be comfortable reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending conversational and academic English.
Participants attend 9 days of training virtually over the course of six months: Month 1 – 2.5 days, Month 2– 2.5 days, Month 5 – 2 days, and Month 7 – 2 days. In months 3, 4, and 6, participants will attend weekly one-hour training calls. In addition, every participant will submit 3 recorded calls and receive written feedback. There is a final recorded call submitted in Month 7 with written feedback. This provides a total of 88 student contact learning hours over the course of the program.
We use a variety of methods for delivering material—didactic training/teaching; exploration and discussion of topics; practice coaching; and experiential exercises. We emphasize practice coaching—formally, with evaluators providing verbal and written feedback; and informally, as the group works together to learn coaching skills.
The program is designed to create Level 1 coaches by addressing the ICF core competencies, issues in coaching, and creating opportunities to practice coaching.

I graduated from Accomplishment Coaching in 2013 and it absolutely went above and beyond my expectations of a coach training experience. I acquired business skills, coaching skills, leadership skills, but most importantly, I really got to change how I saw myself as a leader in the world, and in my own life.
