Coaching in Organizations
“I have to say my journey in this coaching program has been inspiring because I’ve learned a lot about myself and the potential that I have in helping others. I have gained so much from the program, that helps me become a stronger coach, a stronger motivator, a partner to many people, and allows me to fulfill what my goal in life is: to make the world a better place. So I have to thank everyone from Accomplishment Coaching for giving me that opportunity to learn a little bit more about who I am and what I want to do, and what I want my legacy to be.” AP, UNFPA
“The value I got from this program, I can’t even begin to express. It was life changing. When I started in the program, I thought it was more about just reading the books and training. But then when I got into the program, I discovered that I had to work on myself in order to project the same person I want my clients to know. As a result, I benefited more from the coaching relationship I had with my mentor coach. I adopted three projects that I worked on in terms of the job that I’m doing with the UNDP. Also, I took on something personally life changing in terms of my weight. I took on another project. In all those, I normally quit. But for once, I saw myself completing something without a break. I lost weight. I completed this program today. I don’t know what my result is yet, but I just feel good about it. Also in terms of my work, that’s where I’ve seen so much of the transformation, in the sense that I started a new job. Having the facility of mentorship and the coaching relationship, it created for me coping mechanisms and also the ability I had the power to choose how to react to certain situations. Actually I’m not a victim. I feel like I’m able to do better in my work and relate better to my colleagues by being the one who is working on myself in how am going to impact the relationship and the outcome. In a nutshell, I think that is the value I got.” EC, UNDP
“The program was meant for us as professional development, so moving into a new role this coaching would help us to better fulfill the role. So in the beginning I had expectations which were mostly on a professional level. And now looking back to the past months, I must say I learned a lot of skills professionally, but overall, it was really a huge and immense value in personal growth. During the months I was doing the coaching I had some personal issues with family – the loss of a really dear family member. I really managed to go through this time, to navigate through these really stormy waters, because of the coaching experience, the skills I gained through it, the self reflection I was encouraged to go through. And really I came out of this experience, instead of maybe coming out battered, I came out so much self-empowered.
And I really feel that it has equipped me with skills that are yes, very useful in my professional life, so which this aim is fulfilled. But I really think about all the tools it gave me, and skills, really life skills that will be important for me actually to bring to fruition my entire being, both professionally and personally. And I think this is the biggest value, the unintended one, because I expected to just get some professional skills. But I would say, it was really like a terrific personal journey of self discovery, of resilience, and how to bring yourself into a place where you really own the place. And from this ownership place you can contribute, we work for the UN, so we really work there to make the world a better place and to have some impact. And I think that I am better able to fulfill the commitment I have because of the training and because of the coaching skills I gained over the months. And I really mean every word of it!” PB, UNFPA
