FIND A COACH : Katherine Placey
It’s magical, the moment people recognize the possibilities for their lives, when the life they truly want comes into focus and for the first time they believe that it can be theirs.
I am a Leadership and Life Coach. My clients choose life coaching for all manner of reasons: they are stuck, in transition, or building a business; they want to feel more alive and balanced, improve or repair relationships, or their well-being needs retooling (or maybe just a tune-up). Or they want to rediscover the person they used to be, the person they loved being. Whatever the reason, the journey is transformational and takes them closer to being the person they have always wanted to be.
I bring to your coaching sessions space for you to explore, probing questions to expand your view and a sense of humor to help you remember that you are on the best journey of your life. Together, we comb through your landscape and dig deep into what holds you back. Then you begin the work of developing and executing the plan for your best life, your improved relationships, your healthy self, your better business, your authentic self. My coaching helps to keep you on track, reminds you of your commitment, and holds you accountable to take the actions you have agreed to take. It’s hard work. But it’s the best work you will ever do.
I offer complimentary one and a half hour sessions.
It is an honor and a privilege to accompany you on your journey to creating your best life. When do we get started???
My core values are dignity, love, fairness, and authenticity.
This is my “third act”. I retired in 2017, after working for the Navy for 35 years. During that time, I trained, coached, counseled, and mentored teens, employees and supervisors on a host of topics from finding a new job, to working with others, to being with what is hard to be with, to the grief over the slow decline and eventual death of a parent.
I advise the Board of Directors for Wild Willow Farm and Education Center, San Diego, and have volunteered at Feeding America San Diego, Wild Willow Farm and Victory Gardens San Diego.
I am a bicycle tourist, amateur birder, hiker, gardener, mother, grandmother, occasional farm hand, reluctant cook and curious dabbler.
We are always in a state of becoming.
